The recent Tsunami waves have disturbed thousands of lives and shattered the dreams of many, especially those belonging to the fishing community. In a very small but effective effort to offer a much needed solace to these victims SEWA BHARATI, an NGO and teluguone.com with the donations sent by the NRIs bought them fishing nets, their only source for sustenance.
The nets were distributed to the needy in the Mopidevi Mandal’
s worst effected areas of 
Peddakallepalli, Venkatapuram, Naagayatippa, Mopidevi, Peddaprolu, North Chiruvolu Lanka and Bobbarlanka. More than 300 fishermen were donated the nets worth Rs.2,10,000/-.
In a programme organized at the Mopidevi Mandal Office on the 15th of January, Tenali MP Shree. Vallabhaneni Balasouri, Avanigadda MLA Shree Mandali Buddha Prasad and Ravi Shankar, Managing Director TeluguOne.com distributed the nets to the fishermen.
